چکیده
Abstract Background To compare the efficacy of three different fixation methods fibula combined with external tibia for treatment extra-articular open fractures distal and fibula. Methods From January 2017 to July 2019, 91 cases were treated fixator, was fixed non-fixation (group A, n = 35), plate-screw B, 30) Kirschner wire C, 26). The operation time, intraoperative blood loss, surgical implants costs, fracture healing postoperative complications, American Orthopaedic Foot Ankle surgery (AOFAS) scores compared among groups. Results Four patients lost follow-up, 87 followed up 5–35 months (average, 14.2 months). time group C (114.92 ± 36.09 min) shorter than that A (142.27 47.05 B (184.00 48.56 ( P < 0.05). There no difference in loss groups > costs (5.24 1.21, thousand dollars) is lower (6.48 1.11, (9.37 2.16, (5.67 1.42 months) significantly less (6.90 1.33 (6.70 1.12 complications such as delayed union nonunion (2 cases, 8.00%) (13 39.39%) (11cases, 37.93%) wound infection needle-tract did not differ excellent or good rate ankle function 69.70% 72.41% 84.00% statistical Conclusion Compared simple fixator osteosynthesis, K-wire intramedullary shortens operative reduced healing, while recovery showed other two External osteosynthesis had advantage treating when fixation.

Spiral and oblique fractures of distal one-third of tibia-fibula: treatment results with circular external fixator.
INTRODUCTION Spiral and oblique fractures of distal 1/3 of tibia-fibula are relatively common fractures of long bones. Due to their types, aetiology, limited coverage and blood supply, these fractures often lead to union and soft tissue problems. MATERIALS AND METHODS Twenty-seven patients with spiral and oblique fractures of distal 1/3 of tibia-fibula were treated with circular external fixa...
متن کاملOutcome of Distal Both Bone Leg Fractures Fixed by Intramedulary Nail for Fibula & MIPPO in Tibia
Background: Fractures of the distal third of the tibia are mostly associated with a fibular fracture that often requires fixation. The preferred treatment of distal tibial fracture is the minimally invasive percutaneous plate osteosynthesis (MIPPO) procedure. However, there are no clear cut guidelines on fixation of the fibular fracture and currently most orthopedic surgeons use a plate osteo...
متن کاملFixation of extra articular distal radial fractures with non bridging external fixator.
Severely comminuted fractures of distal radius often lead to impairment of wrist function. A prospective study was performed on 30 patients aged between 35-65 years of extra-articular fractures of distal radius. All patients were treated with closed manipulation of the fracture an application of non-bridging (radio radial) external fixator under radiological control. At six months after the inj...
متن کاملExternal fixation versus ORIF for distal intra-articular tibia fractures.
Tibia plafond fractures have historically demonstrated high complication rates. The purpose of this study was to assess the outcomes of tibia plafond fractures following treatment with definitive external fixation vs delayed open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF). Sixty patients were enrolled in a prospective cohort trial at 1 Level I trauma center. No differences were noted between the 2 ...
